Dr. Bryan J. Anderson performs gastric banding weight loss surgery (i.e., LAP-BAND® surgery) for patients in the greater Boise Idaho area. Gastric lap band surgery is a minimally invasive solution for severe obesity and for people looking to change their life and their lifestyle through weight loss.
Dr. Anderson, Director of the Minimally Invasive Bariatric Program, is a native Idahoan and is a graduate of the University of Idaho. He is a member of the medical staff at both Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and St. Luke's Hospital Regional Medical Center. Dr. Anderson attended medical school at the University of Arizona where he received his Medical Degree in 1994. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Michigan State University in 1999 and is board certified in General Surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Idaho Medical Association and Ada County Medical Association. He currently serves as the chairman of the Operating Room committee at St. Alphonsus and is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Anderson works with a friendly staff and a highly trained team of surgeons and nurses through St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. As a result he is able to provide patients with safe and effective weight loss surgery. His goal is to guide you to a happier, healthier life.
Dr. Anderson is a general surgeon who has advanced skills in laparoscopic surgery. In addition to performing the LAP-BAND® surgery Dr. Anderson does many other surgeries including:
- Appendix (appendectomy)
- Colon (colon resection) including colonoscopies
- Gallbladder (cholecystectomy)
- Hernia (most advanced repair technique for groin, incisional, ventral and umbilical hernias)
- Reflux Disease (hiatal hernia) including upper endoscopies
Dr. Anderson also performs surgeries for Thyroid and Parathyroid (problems/diseases)
